Meet Kiana
Kiana Bonnick, born in Toronto and raised in Durham Region, is a dynamic leader in sustainability, climate change, and social impact. She has built her career around bringing people together — whether by building bridges or advancing collective action across multiple sectors to create positive change.
Her journey started at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), where, at the Sustainability Office, Kiana championed cross-discipline campus-wide initiatives that made a tangible impact on campus sustainability. This led her to earn the D.R. Campbell Merit Award, UTSC Green Ribbon Award, and UTSC Letter Award. This early success set the foundation for her career, driving her to lead impact projects in Canada and internationally.
Throughout her 5+ year career, Kiana has led innovative projects, often building meaningful partnerships with like-minded organizations. She excels at navigating the complexities of collaboration, bringing together diverse stakeholders to develop solutions that resonate across sectors, earning her recognition as one of Canada’s 30 under 30 Sustainability Leaders.
